A Bistro and Bar in Labuan Bajo is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Head Chef (Full-time)

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all food items are prepared accurately and meet our quality standards
  • Oversee timely service of dishes while maintaining high presentation standards
  • Develop new menu items that align with our existing concept
  • Maintain top-tier food quality and presentation
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff as well as ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Determine recipe costs and collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to set menu pricing
  • Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and handle any complaints professionally
  • Optimize cost efficiency without compromising quality
  • Recruit, hire, and train kitchen staff
  • Plan and supervise kitchen task delegation
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef and Ordering Manager to maintain fresh ingredient stock
  • Ensure accurate inventory management
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure correct deliveries at the expected price and quality
  • Identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and integrate them into the menu
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations


Requirements:

  • Indonesia Citizen 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Proven at least 2 years of  experience working as a Head Chef or in a related position
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to set a high standard for the team
  • Excellent at training staff and maintaining high-quality output
  • Extensive experience in international cuisine, with past experience working outside Indonesia
  • Willing to relocate to Labuan Bajo, Flores (Komodo)
