A Fashion Company in Bali is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Fashion Buyer Expat (Full-time, On-Site)
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain seasonal product calendars that balance creative flow with commercial objectives
- Guide the structure of each collection to align with brand values and supported by sales and performance data
- Define product and style architecture in coordination with Design, Production and Sales targets
- Analyze stock and sales performance regularly including sell-through, margins color/size performance and lifecycle
- Forecast product demand and monitor SKU-level performance to identify customer trends and preferences
- Lead end-of-quarter reviews, post-mortems and pre-season planning to inform future buying and design strategies
- Identify opportunities for carryovers, core lines and replenishment styles to stabilize revenue and minimize waste
- Define pricing and margin strategies for every collection and by market, balancing cost, positioning and profitability
- Guide design briefs using data and customer insights, ensuring drops meet category and performance goals
- Manage markdown strategies and clearance planning in collaboration with Marketing and Customer Experience
- Conduct ongoing competitor benchmarking, trend forecasting and domestic/international shopping trips
- Translate customer feedback, community sentiment and sales insights into actionable product improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Production, Marketing and Data teams to align timelines, product stories and campaign narratives
- Oversee raw material sourcing to ensure alignment with production schedules, delivery windows and sustainability standards
- Ensure all raw materials reflect the brand’s regenerative, traceable and ethical sourcing values
- Lead and mentor the Procurement team to ensure timely buying, accurate forecasting and adherence to quality expectations
- Manage relationships with suppliers and maintain visibility on performance, costs, MOQs, and lead times
- Oversee the onboarding of new suppliers, supporting quality control and compliance with ethical standards
- Provide support for rapid-response product decisions through visibility of available stock and fabric options
- Plan and manage merchandise clearance activities and contribute to long-term product lifecycle efficiency
- Support systems implementation and process development to improve accuracy, sustainability and cross-functional collaboration
Requirements:
- Proven at least 3+ years of experience in Buying, Merchandising, or Product Planning (fashion/lifestyle/consumer goods)
- Strong analytical skills; experienced in budgeting, inventory, and sales data
- Proficient in Excel, Numbers, or BI tools for forecasting and margin analysis
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Design, Marketing, and Operations
- Experience managing direct reports or cross-functional teams
- Knowledge or passion for ethical sourcing and sustainable production
- Familiarity with e-commerce and international direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales would be a plus
