An Environmental Protection Organization in Tuban, Bali is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Accountant (Full-time)
Responsibilities:
- Lead all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger, Inventory, Revenue Recognition and Cost Accounting
- Prepare, analyze and publish accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial planning reports; analyze variances and provide insights
- Ensure compliance with local, regional and international tax laws and regulations, especially in Indonesia and Singapore
- Manage year-end closing and audit processes, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities and financial institutions
- Maintain and improve internal financial controls and systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and transparency
- Research and interpret technical accounting issues and regulatory updates to ensure compliance with evolving standards
- Provide financial insights and risk assessments to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making
- Oversee and mentor a small finance team, ensuring effective workflow, accountability and professional development
- Document and continuously update standard operating procedures, financial policies and internal control mechanisms
Requirements:
- Indonesian citizen
- Proven at least 3 years of working experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP (Indonesia & Singapore)
- Proven experience with cross-border finance operations including multi-currency transactions and intercompany accounting
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian and Singaporean taxation and government reporting requirements
- Highly proficient in accounting software (Xero preferred) and financial modeling tools (Excel/Google Sheets)
- CPA or equivalent professional qualification required
- Strong leadership, communication and team management skills
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Experience in NGO or social enterprise finance would be a plus
